Am using a HP882 printer with HP 5200C Scanjet. Printed version is not same flesh tone as color on photo software that came with scanner. Am using photo paper and proper settings. Cannot "tweak" colors because only colors are "greens, reds, yellows, blues" and I need to get flesh tone down to a light tan.

Also, how to take another photo with dark background and get it lighter without "recoloring" by hand. When I use the automatic feature, the background color also recolors part of the dress on the child. Have no manual! On line information does not cover these issues. Thank you for any information, suggestions.

Have not found the "automatic" settings to be useful when taking flaws out of a scanned picture that needs some restoration.
