The windows 95 having 4.00.950 B or C are OSR 2 versions. The main problem faced is because of the IOS.VXD located in windows/system/vmm32 folder. Download a patch available from the amd website and simply run the patch. If u are not able to boot to safe mode then simply get the patch disassembled using Winzip(www.winzip.com) on some friends computer. Read the INF files and copy the extracted files to the folders manually. This is will enable u to boot and run windows normally.

The alternate way is to overclock the CPU using jumpers to below 350 MHz spped and then boot and apply the patch. The patch is applicable only on the B or C versions any other version will not do.

New users who are installing windows on a new harddisk with AMD be prepare with a floppy containing the extracted files of the patch and copy them to the folders, where required.
