Explorer Page Fault

I was doing some tweaking on my PC last night. I have a Pentium II 400 with 256 MB RAM and a Diamond Viper 770 Ultra. Anyway after a reboot everything seemed fine and I played a game for a while. When I restarted the computer the machine booted to the Win 98 login screen after I select the user, my antivirus program runs for a while and then I get a message that Explorer has performed a page fault and has to be shut down. This happens on any user and even in safe mode. I'm thinking I'm going to have to reinstall windows but was wondering if anyone had a better solution. The tweaks I made were using winboost to make boot up faster and some tweaking in system.ini with the ram settings, I set my virtual memory settings to manual and 512 MB min and max, and I set my Toshiba DVDrom drive to use DMA. If someone needs more info let me know.

thanks, dan
