Jazz Drive FDISK Recover
BiggBA Jul-17-01 05:32 AM
I read the previous posting on FDISK recovery. The problem that I have is as follows. I fdisked a 1 GIG external SCSI Jazz cartridge. Is there a way that I can recover the data on that unit. I have not formatted the cartridge. It is ALL of my wifes backup and she desparately needs it. I looked for PQ Lost & Found, but they are no longer selling, supporting, or having anything to do with that program. Norton Utils doesn't have anything that can help. If there is anyway, please let me know.

PowerQuests Partition Magic also has a partition recovery capability. You might want to try Ontrack’s EasyRecovery (http://www.ontrack.com/easyrecovery/). I would like to know if the later worked, if you try it. Larry

I downloaded the Ontrack EasyRecovery. It is a trial version so it won't actually recover anything. But goes through the process and it says that it will recover only about 1/4th of the data on the Jazz Cartridge. I am going to load Partion Magic to see if it will work. I heard PQ had a program called lost and found that should work, but they no longer sell it and I don't know where to get it from...
