Hello you all,

Do you know if a Celeron 800 will work on an ABIT BH6 board with BIOS version 1.0x with the latest update BH6SS.

I don't want to buy this Cel. 800 if it doesn't fit on that board. Of course I know that I need an adaptor for 370 socket to Slot 1

Hello Larry,

Thanks for you input, but according to Abit the latest version of BIOS for the BH6 - V. 1.0x is showing max. CPU as 700/66mhz

Do you have any other infos showing or stating that it could take a 800/100mhz bus ?

No. The 100 Mhz FSB is probably out of the question. Time for a new motherboard? I would not buy a sillyron. Larry

Well guys,

I have news for you, I went ahead and bought a Celeron 800mhz still cheap at 100.00$ CDN and I fixed it on a Slotket generic - set jumpers and bios and guess what - my machine is running for a week now with no problem and a good increase in his speed - my video Geforce 200 MX - 64 m is running better and more stable than it was with the celly 333.

Thanks anyway for your inputs.
