Proprietary IBM modem problem
Vortec Mar-08-01 11:32 PM
A friend has an IBM 730/750 computer with desktop style case, 133mhz processor and 32 megs ram. There is a fairly large board plugged into the motherboard that apparently contains video, modem and sound, and who knows what else. After formatting the hard drive and installing Windows 98, the modem refuses to work. I have no idea what brand of modem it is. Is there any way to get this modem working again. If I knew what modem it had, I could maybe get the drivers and correct the problem. Oh yes, 28,800 bps. Thank you.

You might find it at http://www.pc.ibm.com/support?lang=en_US&page=brand&brand=IBM+PC&doctype=Downloadable+files. If not, http://duxcw.com/digest/Fromshop/mb/det.htm may help identify the board. Larry
