My Wife's Favorite Pan

Finally, in August of this year (2005), I found a replacement, the Drannan Cookware Co. WaterBroiler® pan. It is a 12 inch round by 1 1/4 inch deep stainless steel pan with a stainless steel wire grill. The pan has a cooking area of 113 square inches as compared to 136 inches area of My Wife's old pan.

Cornish Game Hen Stuffed with Rice and Mushrooms, Yum!

We have had this pan for about 2 1/2 months now and have enjoyed all sorts of meals, such as Cornish game hens, chickens, hamburgers, steaks, and veggies that she has cooked with it. She says she likes the smaller size better because she can put more in the oven, it does not take as much space in the cupboard and washing machine, and she can still cook a meal for three. It cooks just as good as her old pan.

Although, considering its size, the pan is a little pricey at $50, we rate the quality of the 18/8 stainless steel pan as near excellent. It is also much easier to clean than our old pan. More importantly, it has become my Wife's favorite pan.

Pork Roast, Acorn Squash, Potatoes, Pepper, and Onion Cooked in Red Wine without Grill

If you are a pair of empty nesters, have a small family, or are single, this pan will make quick work of many favorite dishes and will do it much better than any broiler or roasting pan we have seen. We also bought Drannan's Stainless Steel Forkula™ Barbecue Tongs as part of a package deal and they work well.

I highly recommend this product as a gift for your favorite cook.
