kamal Oct-30-00 04:31 PM
Hi,
I have COmpaq running windows 98 on my pc, when I start it up I get the following dll errors.

1) sccenter.exe
linked to missing export WININET.DLL: internet Get connected state
2) msvcp60.dll file is linked to missing export MSVCRT.DLL:_lc_collate_cp
3) MNYUI.DLL is linked to missing export MFC42.DLL:6467

Please can you help me with these errors and how to correct them.

Run a virus scan to be sure no virus is involved. Run scandisk do a surface scan to be sure the hard disk is ok. Try Start>Programs>Accessories>System Tools>System Information>Tools>System File Checker… That may or may not fix all or part of the problem. If it doesn’t, use Start>Programs>Accessories>System Tools>System Information>Tools>System Configuration Utility to turn off one thing at a time and restarting Windows with each item until you discover what program(s) is/are causing the problem. It is probably in Startup, but could be in the win.ini run or load lines and may even be in the autoexec.bat and config.sys files or system.ini <386Enh> driver (not likely). Larry
