Assigning which program is used for whice type of data file.
Ra Byn Oct-30-00 03:26 AM
When I try to open a text document, WIN 98 says that the *.exe file that is needed to open this type of file can't be found. For instance, My WIN98 can't find the notebook.exe location. I have another that makes reference to a program that has been uninstalled. Where do I go to tell it what kinds of files to use to open up other types of files.........jpeg, gif, pdf, txt....etc..

Sincerely,
ra byn james

Larry, Windows Explorer/Tools/Folder Options/File Types didn't work for me.

I found it at the following location.

Windows Explorer/View/Folder Options/File Types

Sincerely,
