diskcopy in the context menu
wally2117 Jan-21-02 02:35 PM
Hi,

The floppy disk copy in the context menu(right click) has disapeared.
When I click My computer and highlight the floppy drive and then right-click, the context menu appear, I had the diskcopy choice in this menu.

Since I don't know when, it's gone.

I've tried 2 things to correct this.

First, deinstall and reinstall floppy drive and, second, replace the diskcopy.dll file in the Windows\system folder.

I've also found on the microsoft site, something about the registry but I don't have the key that they talk about. That's a Win98 service note and I'm working with WinME.

Could you help please.

Regards

Wally

Hi,

This key
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Drive\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\{59099400-57FF-11CE-BD94-0020AF85B590}=""

was completely disapeared. Not only the value but
the key itself.

There's sometimes no explanations about the "surnatural" things that happens in this computer world! May be some "bugs" live between two layers of my motherboard and eat registry keys to survive!

Thanks for the link.

Wally

That's what I've done.

All O.K now.

Thank you
