installing windows on new hard drive
Conicks May-04-00 03:58 AM
i am trying to install windows on a brand new 20.4 gb maxtor hard drive. it formats the drive and everything, but once it gets to finding the plug and play devices, i get a msgvncr32 error. i also get errors in regsvr32 saying that there is an invalid page fault in 0167:010044e3 and oe exceptions in 0028:c004c80 in vxd vcae60 + ooooo52c. these errors always repeat. how can i stop these from happening?

What motherboard, version of Windows, CPU, CPU speed, hard disk, and memory do you have? Was the system working Ok before you installed the new hard disk? Have you tried to redo everything? From the limited info provided, I would guess that files are corrupted and that you have a memory problem. Larry
