Start Up
rsierra Feb-28-01 03:53 PM
I am looking for the setup file that allows programs to start up when the PC does. I think I may have to many programs start when I boot up. Can you tell me how to go about configuring these start up's? I would like to pick and choose what is in the system tray.

Thank you

Start, Run, msconfig will allow you to turn-off startup programs. See http://download.cnet.com/downloads/1,10150,0-10001-103-0-1-7,00.html?tag=srch&qt=system+tray&cn=&ca=10001 for System Tray utilities. Cut and past the entire link into your browser. Larry

start-settings-taskbarandstartmenu-advanced-you can then remove stuff from the startup file.
You can also use msconfig:
start-run-msconfig-startup(tab) you can check or uncheck the programs you wish to load/notload on start-up.
