Win 98 SE KAK ?
chip Dec-16-00 01:41 PM
I recently upgraded from 95 to Win98 SE. Now when i bootup windows, I get a box that's headed
"C:\WINDOWS\Start Menu\Programs\StartUp\KAK.HTA"

Any ideas what this is about? How to fix? The box does not appear to have any contents

Thanks

It is the Kakworm virus, or, more specifically, an E-Mail worm. See http://vil.mcafee.com/dispVirus.asp?virus_k=10509& for details. It most likely has nothing to do with the upgrade. Larry
