How to boot off 2nd hard drive using same os
Arienrhode Jul-01-01 05:50 PM
Ok, i have two hard drives, a 5400 rpm 40 gig samy that i use for bulk storage and stuff that does not need speed , and a 7200 rpm 30 gig WD that i use for games. How can i install windows 98 on both, and make a disk to select witch one i wan to startup from? The reason being that I want to run minimum extensions and junk on my gaming HD to speed things up. Thanks

See towards the bottom of http://duxcw.com/faq/win/win.htm. You might be able to do it with the CMOS setup, but that would be a bit inconvenient. I don' think that you are going realize much an advantage in doing this. Partitioning the large drive into as small a C: drive as you can manage and still run Windows and use your games, and putting everything else on a large D: partition, might be better solution. Larry
