Yes , I am trying to build a computer, its puting years on me! anyway
its a 1900 AMD MHz processor with a Asus board A7N266 ,256DDR ram, The board has integrated graphics and sound, Its in a ATX case? There are 2 problems at present, (1) Why does the screen keep going FUZZY? some times, forcing me to reboot to see what i am doing. And (2) My hard drive particulars have not been detected ? I thought this latest bios did that part for me. It wants to know cylinders, sectors etc , were can i get this info? I dont know much about computers so give me a break, please.

The CMOS Setup should be set to autodetect the drives. Start with just one drive. The system should be booted in the minimal bootable configuration (see the How to article and FAQ) below). Once that is working you can add drives/boards one at a time. You may not have the correct end of the hard disk drive cable plugged into the motherboard/drive. There should be no PCI boards plugged into the PCI slot next to the AGP slot. Those two slots usually share the same interrupt (http://duxcw.com/faq/irq/irq.htm ). The monitor cable may be loose. Many years of experience building computers is contained in http://duxcw.com/digest/Howto/buildcom/socka/1.htm. Troubleshooting steps are at http://duxcw.com/faq/mb/mb.htm. Larry
