NON-ECC ???

I got non-ecc ddr memory with my computer. what is the difference between ECC and NON-ECC ??? thanks.

ECC = Error Correction Code. One will correct errors and the other will not. Once in a blue moon a logical one in memory will change to a 0 (or vic versa). Alpha particles can cause it. Larry
