That's what I'd like know before proceeding. Why is it necessary to update the BIOS? What is the problem? Larry

Correct! That's what I like to know myself!!!
You know the program SiSandra? It tells me that my BIOS is too old, and I need to download the latest driver. BIOS is also not flashed.

You tell me if I have to do anything with my BIOS.

I wouldn't worry about it. 1999 is fairly recent for a 440BX chipset. Don't fix it if it ain't broke. Larry

Well, OK. I see you don't want to reply exactly to my messages. Don't wanna answer me why it is necessary to update BIOS (I mean in general), don't wanna answer me where I can find appropriate drivers for my BIOS. That all means that I may be won't update my BIOS but I still wanna know where I can find new drivers.
That's it.

I will say that you can indeed break it if you attempt to flash your BIOS and it fails. You can find reasons a BIOS should be updated if the motherboard is new or there are problems all over this site. Just search at the left with BIOS. If the computer is working OK, there is most likely no reason to run the risk of flashing it. I certainly would not update my BIOS just because Sandra says it needs to be updated. Iíll bet it would say the same about my BIOS. And since you seem dissatisfied with this free service and my advice, I'll suggest that you find the BIOS yourself. A good place to start is our Links page, which has a link to Wimís BIOS. Larry
