calchi Sep-18-00 06:47 AM
I need help over here. Is this Epox EP-MVP3C2 compatible with Voodoo 3, TNT2 & Geforce? bcoz I facing some problem with my old motherboard A-trend 5200 which not comapatible with my Voodoo 3.
I already update the VIA 4-in1 patch and still can't manage to solve it. I need to change motherboard so, I need answer whether this MB EP-MVP3C2 compatible with Voodoo 3 or not? TQ

I have the Voodoo 3 2000 running on that board with a K6-III 400. That's my wifes system. My son has Voodoo 3 2000 on the MVP3G-2. I have Voodoo 3 3000 on MVP3G-5. They all work great with Voodoo 3. Can't say about Nvidia cards.

There is a compatability problem between the VIA apollo chipsets and the nvidia TNT2 range
of AGP video cards. I am caught in that mess.
The above mentioned motherboard uses the VIA
apollo chipset. SOME FIX FROM THE POWERS THAT
BE WOULD BE NICE.

VIA MVP3 chipsets are not the only chipsets that have had problems with TNT board drivers. For help and additional info, see http://duxcw.com/dcforum/DCForumID5/160.html#1 and http://www.tweak3d.net/tweak/rivatnt/. Unfortunately, I am not one of those powerful beings that be--although, I will say that I have occasionally managed to cajole some manufacures into action with the meager power of my pen. Larry
