Do i "Clear Cmos" jumper ??

One last question relating to my 733 pent guys.
if i jumper and clear the cmos , can you tell me if a gigabyte GA-6VA7+ board will definately reset to the defaults... or will i have to use a bios utility to load new bios in ...

om a tad worried that ill empty its head and kill it for good .
