Looking a software that can do the web site automatation
gomcse May-28-02 12:40 PM
Hi guys,

I have a web site (use FrontPage 2000) under win2k environment.

May I know which software should I get to automatically help me to remove the expire information such as job postings, events (After a few days of the end of the events / closing date of a job posting etc.) ?

Please kindly advise ASAP.

I don't know of anything specific, but If I had a lot of this sort of data on my site, I'd stick it in a database and have a program/query run that would check the epiration date and delete the records with obsolete data. On a UNIX computer, I would do it with php and MySQl. I would probably do it with Access/Microsoft's SQL server in a Windows environment. FrontPage does have the capabilty to interface to Access and SQL databases. Larry

Hi Larry,

Thanks for suggestion and I might do some more research and start with SQL Server and so on.
