My control panel does not work
rmt88 Oct-14-01 10:52 PM
I have a problem with my control panel. I want to delete a program using Add/Remove Programs. When I double-click on it nothing happens. This goes for all of the icons that are in the control panel folder. Can someone help me.

Try Start, Programs, Accessories, System Tools, System Information, Check System Files (believe it is there; Iím running Me; itís somewhere near there, if not). If that doesnít work, TweakUI might fix it. Do a file search for TweakUI.INF on the Windows CD, and then right click on it and choose Install or download from http://www.microsoft.com/ntworkstation/downloads/powertoys/networking/nttweakui.asp. Go to Start, Settings, Control Panel, double-click the TweakUI icon, select Repair. Try Rebuild Icons. Try Control PanelÖ You may have reinstall Windows on top of Windows. Larry
