ICS Auto Connect
rascojc Apr-08-01 03:26 AM
I think there is a way to do this, but I can not remember nor find anything info. I am using ICS with 2 PC's. Everything works fine except, I would like the client to have the host dial my ISP if the host is not connect to the ISP. Anyone know how or if it is possible.

Thanks in advance.

Okay I was with you up until "set your default connection with your network card using the modem in the other machine". I am assumming this is the client? And how would I go about doing that?
Do you mean, on the host PC set my default connection to my NIC?

Okay, got it to work. Well, sort of. I am using AOL, okay stop snickering, and the problem is AOL. AOL sets the dial-up number to be 800-555-5555 and that is what it dials when trying to connect from the client. If I am not connected and launch IE from the Host is starts AOL and dials properly. Talked with 3 different support people 2 said it can't be done and 1 said it can. Well, I know it can be done but how?
