I haven't ventured into Win 2000 yet and do not see a compelling need to do so before Microsoft fixes a good portion of the 65,000 or so issues/bugs in the software. I don't know if it includes ICS or not. If it doesn't, you may want to consider connecting the MODEM to a Windows 98 SE PC or installing SyGate (http://duxcw.com/digest/Reviews/Network/sygate/sygate.htm). Larry

FYI, After playing with it for a few hours I found that all you have to do to activate ics on the host is right click on your dial up, choose properties and and "check" the internet sharing box. This is asuming that you have a working network, which 2000 sets up for you during the installation.
I would avoid installing this o/s on any pc that is showing its age. i have 256mb ram and took out 128 just to see what happened. i exprienced a big slow down in performance. In 98 there is little difference when running 128 vs 256. I also feel that 2000 seems to be alot more stable then 98se and I have quite a few games running very well in it. So far I am impressed!

Sure sounds like a lot simpler than Win 98 SE ICS. I rate that info a 10. Thanks. Larry
