Sygate won't start service anymore after reinstallation NIC
didde Nov-15-00 09:57 AM
I've got a big problem for my home network.
Sygate service won't start anymore after I had to reinstall the NIC. Also what is strange: uninstall the sygate program and then reinstall it will remain the old license of the uninstalled version. Which key's in the register have to be removed???? Searched for sybergen and sygate, found some entries and removed it, but a clean reinstall is out of the question. A clean reinstall of win98 helped but that offcourse obvious. Ohh, olmost forgot: External adapter was suddenly removed from the networktab?!?!?. Beat up my parents for this, but they claim it is not their fault! (So I trust them)

I know what the problem was!!!!
Sygate was using a corrupt external adapter.
Removed all networking adapters, but in the registry a corrupt network adapter was showing the problem. Removed it and sygate automatically used the good external adapter. Just wonderfull windows registry. So this one can be "closed"
