cable modem sharing over IP sharer

I have a network runnig win NT 4.0 with 12 terminals runnig w98. they are connected over 2 hub. for internet sharing we are currently using a dial-up ISS over an IP sharer. Now we have cable modem and IS IT POSSIBLE TO CONNECT IT TO THE CURRENT IP SHARER????
if yes HOW????

SORRY TYPING MISTAKE, ISS = ISP
INTERNET SERVICE PROVIDER )

SINGLE INTERNET CONNECTION, SINGLE EXTERNAL MODEM, IP SHARER.

SO, MODEM IS CONNECTED TO AN IP SHARER, IP SHARER IS CONNECTED TO THE HUB. EVERYBODY CAN CONNECT OVER THE NETWORK.

IS IT POSSIBLE TO USE THE CABLE MODEM INSTEAD OF DIAL-UP MODEM??
IF YES, I ALSO NEED A TRANCIEVER (RJ45 TO 9 PIN SERIAL PORT)

what is and ip sharer, u can use another software for sharing the cable www.internetshare.com, i use it with DSL
