Running Servers on Cable internet
ikellen Jul-19-02 00:34 AM
I am interested in setting up a web server on my network. I am running a linksys router hooked up to a cable modem. Do ISP's not allow this? For anyone living in the US, I am with Cox for Cable internet (Formerely Cox@home, now cox.net) and their web site says that you cannot run these programs. Has anyone done this with cox(running a "Server" type program)? Do they get ##### off if you do?

Could be written as:
Do they get upset if you do?
Do they get angry if you do?
Do they get annoyed if you do?
Will they cut-off my service if I do? Maybe. I wouldn't risk it. Larry
