No, but it is better than ICS. See http://duxcw.com/faq/ics/waysshare.htm. There should be an ICS host, which is connected to the cable MODEM. Boot it up first. The other computer is the ICS client. The TCP/IP properties on the client should be set to obtain the IPD address automatically. ICS will assign the network adapter going to the client static IP address of 192.168.01.1. Open a DOS window on the client and execute ipconfig, and release and renew the IP address. C:\>ipconfig /? will provide the syntax. You should see it change if the ICS host, client and local network are working. I would first install the NetBEUI protocol in addition to TCP/IP and get the local network going first. How are the computers connected together? Larry

I GOT MY CABLE MODEM GOING TO MY HOST FROM MY HOST TO A HUB AND I GOT MY CLIENT GOING TO THE HUB.
MY ISP PROVIDER SET MY HOST PC NETWARK CARD IP TO AUTOMATICALLY? THAT IS ALL I HAVE SO FAR. I SET ICS ON MY NIC CARD CONNECTEDTO MY MODEM TO SELECT
ICS.I HAVE NETBIOS SELECTED ON ALL MY NIC CARDS?
WHAT DO I SET MY CLIENT IP ADDRESS TO? WHAT DO I SET MY IP ADDRESSS ON OTHER NIC CARD ON MY HOST(MY LAN CARD)?

The NIC going to the MODEM gets it's IP from the MODEM and should be set to auto. The NIC on the ICS host should be assigned static IP of 192.168.0.1 by ICS when ICS is installed. Its subnet mask should be 255.255.255.0. The ICS Client should be set to get its IP address automatically from the DHCP server built into ICS on the ICS host.
