Two of my PCs have internet through a router but they can't see one another on network.

Hey Folks. I have a PC with Windows ME and a brand new laptop with the same. Both PCs are connected through a Linksys Router (4 port w/Uplink and port for cable modem) The PC is the lead machine in port one. For some strange reason, they can both be online like normal but....can't see each other's drives. I right-clicked the drives and gave them sharing permissions and even share printer. But in Network Neighborhood they can only see themselves, not the other PC. Any advice? My connection is through @Home.

Try installing NetBEUI in addition to TCP/IP. The laptop should the same protocols installed as the PC to avoid a known Win Me problem, where ME will search for a Browse Master with only one of the installed protocols,. Larry
